Cabinet Hardware

When shopping to complete renovations in our kitchen, we tend to go over essential elements too quickly sometimes when we could spend just a little more time and discover great ideas for a fantastic look with kitchen cabinet hardware. The knobs, handles and hinges can make a big difference between modern stainless steel and antique copper. We should all give kitchen cabinet hardware more importance, as it is the defining touch to your kitchen cabinets. It gives the energy to the room, to complement your new fan or island stove range. Matching it with your appliances is a good choice too.

Porcelain cabinet hardware is a unique and often beautiful option to consider when you’re looking to replace your cabinet knobs and pulls.  Porcelain cabinet hardware is often inspired by vintage or antique designs but costs a fraction of the price of originals. Most often, porcelain knobs and pulls come in white or off white colors and have simple, delicate designs.  Some designs incorporate dark metals like iron along with porcelain for a striking contrast of colors and textures.  Though porcelain cabinet hardware is generally smooth and round, some have a scalloped shape.  Many types of porcelain cabinet hardware are painted with floral designs or other simple line or geometrical designs.  Common colors of these designs are pastel pinks, yellows, greens and blues, and cobalt blues.  The delicate design of porcelain cabinet hardware makes it ideal for bathrooms and kitchens with a simple, traditional design and lots of light.  Wooden kitchen cabinets painted in pastel colors like pale blue and light yellow are a great setting for porcelain cabinet hardware.  Similarly, bathrooms with simple adornments and cabinets look fantastic with porcelain cabinet hardware.  Porcelain cabinet hardware is a great option for many homes, so it may be an option to consider if you’re looking at replacing your existing cabinet hardware.

You certainly don’t want to go back to the same boring old hardware. Instead you need a better understanding of your options for where to place knobs on a cabinet. The most obvious place to put a knob will be on a side opposite a hinge. The leverage allows you to open the door with almost no effort. This is great for those that might have a disability limiting their grip strength.
