Appliance Handles

The appliance handle to compliment your cabinetry. Appliance handle  is a general term used for our kitchen handles. Remember the first time you moved into your new house? The moment you entered your kitchen, you got a feeling that it was special. Yes you loved your nicely carpeted and spacious living room and your nicely curtained bedroom; but there was something special about your kitchen. Your kitchen had no curtains to make it look beautiful, but there was a radiance about it. Suddenly the sparkle of your fixtures attracted your attention. As you felt your way through the kitchen cabinets, you suddenly stopped over an appliance handle. You took your time to admire it, and caress it; and suddenly you realized that there were many of them adorning your cabinets, your drawers and your racks. They looked just like sequins on a garment. An appliance handle is slightly larger other handles. It is strong and sturdy. It comes in a variety of finishes that complement your cabinet, your refrigerator or your freezer. Steel and silvery look brighten up your kitchen; bronze adds a good contrast to your refrigerator shade; and brass gives a golden touch to your drawers. As time passes, one tends to forget these lovely pieces of hardware that make our appliance doors turn on their hinges or slide on their tracks. Later when your cabinetry fails to co-operate, your appliance handles remind them of their duties.

Appliance handles, not just handles anymore

by guestpost on February 1, 2009

A few years ago, there were only two basic types of appliance handles available, the knob type or the wire type. Most people didn’t care for anything else. Not so today. There are hundreds of models and styles of handles to choose from. The materials range from metal to wood, glass, and plastic of course. And they are not just handles anymore; they are called cabinet pulls, appliance pulls, cabinet knobs, and bar pulls. As the saying goes, “a dear child has many names”.  The style of your kitchen cabinets should determine your choice of appliance handles. They should fit together. Smooth, painted or Formica paneled doors may need stainless steel, straight type handles. A kitchen with oak wood cabinets may be fitted wit a more ornate style appliance handles. The beautiful thing is that you can find the same style of handles for your refrigerator and freezer that you chose for your cabinets. There are so many manufacturers of appliance handles that you will probably go nuts trying to look for them in hardware stores. The recommended strategy is to first look up the brand and style you like on the Internet, then find out what retailers carry them. Then you can either order them on a website, or personally go to the retailer you like, and buy them there. That is a personal choice.

Appliance handles- Your eyes can’t miss them.

by guestpost on January 9, 2009

Appliance handles  are the first things people get their hands on when checking-out their favorite appliances at the electronics store. In order to have access to the interiors, one has to first get a hold of their handles. Every once in a while a customer will buy a particular model of an appliance because he was turned on by the looks and the feel of the handle. On the other hand, one might reject the appliance of his choice because the handles are dull. This may sound funny; but it is true. Appliance handles often have a psychological effect on people. They attract attention. They entice and hypnotize. The lure and tempt. They appeal and invite.  Most appliance manufacturers pay special attention to the appliance handles because they create the first impression.  Appliance handles are also generally used in every part of the kitchen. From your racks to your cabinets and from your drawers to your doors, they do find application. They make your kitchen look striking. They not only help you to open and close your appliance and cabinet doors, they demand attention. If you still don’t believe me, take a look around your kitchen.

Get a Grip on Your Appliance Handle

by guestpost on November 28, 2008

Working with appliances can be very gratifying, even if sometimes frustrating. The difference between a good experience and a horrible one can be something as simple as the appliance handle. The tools we use in everyday life generally make our lives happier by simplifying tasks that would be otherwise quite difficult. Frequently the handle of a tool is as important, and in some cases more so, than the tool itself. It can be such an integral part of the tool that it simply serves no purpose without a handle. An appliance handle is such a device. Consider the utility of a hand mixer without a handle; it goes round and round and falls on the floor. One of the appliances in our home that is used almost every day is the vacuum cleaner. Without a handle what would it do? Perhaps that explains the evolutionary path of the Roomba. Many of our appliances operate without handles, per se, but they’re usually floor mounted things that use knobs, like a dishwasher or and oven. But in the case of the oven, if its appliance handle were not attached to the door – well it just wouldn’t be the same. The functionality of an appliance handle is frequently what defines the value of the appliance even more than the appliance itself.
