Have you ever been caught in a situation where your wooden drawer got jammed; and the drawer handle was either missing or got pulled off. How does one get a drawer opened at such a time? Maybe you tried the iron rod, the hammer, or the kitchen knife, but to no avail. Maybe you cursed the carpenter for doing a sloppy job on the drawer handle. Or maybe you regretted having bought the wardrobe cabinet during the clearance sale at your local store. Hey, worry not! Your wardrobe cabinet looks like an old fashioned one. No problem. Old fashioned furniture is sturdier and need the right fixtures. Maybe you need a good carpenter to fix the drawer pull or maybe you need to shop for some stronger drawer pulls. Older furniture usually comes with beautiful looking drawer pulls, many of them are antique pieces. So be careful before replacing your old drawer pulls. Your wardrobe might lose that resilient look. Most drawer pulls are attached using two or more attachment points. This keeps them from being pulled off. Knobs usually have only one attachment point. Old-fashioned drawer pulls were mostly hand made. They took longer time to be made. They have intricate carvings portraying the artisan’s skill. Nowadays, they are machine manufactured, making the process quicker.
